Privacy

Last updated: 23 September 2026

The short version: Algodle collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no trackers. Nothing about who you are, or what you pick, ever leaves your phone.

What stays on your device

Algodle remembers a few small things, and only on your device:

None of it is sent anywhere or associated with you. Picks you make on past days aren't kept, apart from the Mix-ups note above.

Getting the problems

To show you a problem, Algodle asks its server (algodle.cora-branch.com) for today's problem or the list of past days. This is a one-way request: the app asks for content and the server sends it back. The app never sends the server your picks or anything else about you.

Like any website, the server's front door keeps standard request logs, the kind of technical detail every web server records, such as the requesting IP address, the time, and the device type. These are used only to keep Algodle running and secure. They are not used to identify or track you, are not linked to a profile, and are not sold or shared. The part of the server that holds the problems isn't passed your address at all.

No analytics, ads, or tracking

Algodle contains no analytics software, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. It uses no cookies, and nothing it notes about your picks is kept anywhere but on your own device.

Children

Algodle collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it. Collecting nothing is the point, so any change will be in that spirit.
